Sioux Falls Surgical Hospital (SFSC) is located adjacent to the campus of Avera McKennan Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, with excellent access to public and private transportation. SFSC was originally built in 1985 and is approximately 49,000 square feet with 13 operating rooms, 13 beds and a clinical staff of 112. There are currently 289 physicians who have medical staff privileges at Sioux Falls Surgical Hospital . In October 1996, SFSC expanded its services to include a Recovery Care Department to accommodate the postoperative needs of patients undergoing more extensive surgeries, and in 1998 radiology services were expanded to include MRI. The hospital Is owned by Sioux Falls Surgical Hospital , LLP, which is 51% owned by MFC.
